Dear Thread Manor...

Today, I have some crossover human in equestria fics, a non crossover human in equestria fic, and a couple of shorter 1 shots of just the ponies.

First, those crossovers...

The Dread Chitin, a BattleTech crossover. Sort of. Twi botches a spell and gets Dash and herself stranded on a strange, alien Death World. Fortunately, a human who is also stranded there, and has been for some time, takes them in. Now, Twi has to find a way to get them all out of this hellhole where everything is trying to kill them and get Dash and herself back home. But they can't just leave their human host behind, can they?

This is a really odd crossover. The Death World it takes place on is set in the BattleTech verse, and a lot of that tech shows up(no proper mechs though). However, the human is an OC from an entirely separate magitek based verse created by the author. So it's kinda like a double crossover. I really like it for it's depiction of Dash though, who's a bit of a savant when it come to analyzing trajectories, vectors, and other physics type stuff in her head, which is why she's such a great flyer and able to come up with and do half the stunts she does.

Oh, and the epilogue kinda sucks, and even the author agrees. But I still enjoyed everything else about it!

It Must Be Tuesday, a Fallout Crossover -in progress. The Lone Wanderer gets abducted by aliens again. He escapes just fine, again, but he finds that this time, the alien ship isn't orbiting Earth anymore. The alien ship he's on gets blown up in a fight with another alien ship, and he crash lands on Equestria. However, he wasn't the only thing the aliens had been keeping on the ship...

This is the first human in equestria fic I've read where 1) they don't all somehow happen to speak the same language and 2) Twi doesn't have some sort of universal translator spell. This already makes it a lot more interesting than most human in equestria crossover fics I've read. Although I have to say, it's a bit introspection heavy.

A Link To Equestria, a Legend of Zelda Crossover -in progress. The Nightmare(as in Nightmare Moon Nightmare) frees Ganandorf from the Twilight Realm and brings him to Equestria to wreak havoc. Of course, Link also manages to find his way to Equestria, via The Lost Woods. Epic adventure ensues.

Not much to say here, mostly because I'm not sure what to think of this one. Writing quality is fine, at least after the first couple of chapters, but the plot..I dunno. It's not really engaging me, but it's also not turning me off enough to stop reading it.

Now for that non crossover human in equestria fic

Hired Gun -in progress. James Clark, a PrivateMilitaryContractor, gets hired by a strange woman dressed like a mage(it was Halloween!) for an escort mission that could save thousands of lives. of course, she never said they were human lives...

I was skeptical about this at first, but I gave it a shot based on the authors other works. Only 4 chapters in, enjoying it so far. I was really not liking that fact that it had both Human and Romance tags, but the author swears the Romance tag is just there because one of the OC ponies is a saucy flirt and that there won't be any actual shipping.

Finally, those 2 pony shorts!

The Fires of Friendship. Rarity and AJ were best of friends when they were young fillies, but a divergence of interests and a tragic event ruined their friendship. Until Twi moved to Ponyville, they hardly ever spoke to eachother. Even now that they hang out a lot more, old wounds are slow to heal. However, an incident with the CMC causes them to confront their past and accept it, so they can finally move one with repairing their friendship.

This isn't usually the kind of fic I read, and Rarity and AJ aren't exactly my favorite of ponies to read about. That being said, it was still quite well written and provides and interesting background for the two.

and finally, Fluttershy Discovers Gummy Bears, a sequel to Fluttershy Discovers Animal Crackers. Even though she now knows that they're not actually made from animals, Fluttershy is still somewhat traumatized by the animal shaped snack Pinkie created, and her friends are quite worried about her. But now Pinkie was created a new treat: Gummy Bears.

a fun story. That's all I've got, it's really short.
