Yo know, I have to wonder. How come fim crossover fics always take the form of other characters coming to Equestria and never the girls going to another verse?

I mean, I know Equestria is a fun place and all, but out of a lot of crossover fics I've read, only a 3 so far have taken the second form, one with HALO and two with Discworld.

I mean, with the amount of spells Twi botches, you'd think it'd be more common occurrence!

...I just realized that the only Discworld crossovers involve ponies on the disc. Hurray Discworld for breaking the trend!

I'm noticing ponyfic seems to use the phrase "there was nothing for it" rather often. It doesn't seem to matter who the author is. I've seen that phrase come up maybe three times in my life before I ended up in this fandom, and suddenly I see it like every sixth story or so.

Pound Cake was able to fly, because all baby ponies (particularly pegasi and unicorns) experience a temporary surge in their powers and abilities. Of course, being temporary, it wears off, meaning that they have to relearn it when they get older.

That makes me feel sad for Scootaloo, because she has crippled/disabled wings. I bet her parents were greatly concerned when she displayed no flying ability as a baby. That's what I think happened, unless Hasbro says different - which they haven't!

Baby ponies have that instinctive ability, like human babies can swim. Scoots is at the stage where she needs to re-learn how to fly. Also my standing

is that neither her parents are pegasi, so they can't teach her to fly.
