Boris Johnson gets into a fight with the SimCity Mayor.

I love politics.

Why can't we settle our problems with cage matches instead of democracy like civilized people?

Yes.

Democracy was invented by a man who only read books! Cage matches were invented by a man who hates cowards running away during a fight!

Boris Johnson and Mayor Mare enter the cage. Two enter, only one will leave.

Beautiful word, shenanigans.

You know, CSPAN would get much better Nielsen ratings if they just took a few points from us.

You know, I did a Nielsen test thing the other day. They were at the movie theater where I saw ParaNorman.

That movie should have had a female protagonist.

Because then they could have called it "Clare Voyant."
Beautiful word, shenanigans.

Hahahaha that is perfect.

What else is perfect is the song they chose for the credits. I heard it come on, and I was haha, I love this song, it so fits.

Democracy is giving a man a choice between a broken sword and a dulled dagger, and if he doesn't choose he gets stabbed with them. At least cage matches don't use bladed weapons so far as I can tell.

Why do I always reply late.

Nonono, you're getting the mayor convention dynamics all wrong! You can't just invite any old mayor form fiction! Only mayors who are only known as Mayor can come! Mayor Mare gets a pass because phonetics! If they have an actual name, they're not allowed!

This is the only way to ensure maximum shenanigans! They'll never know who's talking to who!

Now, political cage matches have no rules.

There are no rules in the arena.

Which kind of always made me wonder that if Messala is allowed to use those wheel spikes, why doesn't everybody?

It's been years since I've watched that movie. Maybe that was the first time Messala had used the wheel spikes against that particular bunch of opponents, and everyone who saw them was saying to himself, "Dammit! Why didn't I think of that?"

Love that movie.

Plus, it's true. Yakety Sax makes anything funny.

@Blissey In that case, we need the Mayor from The Powerpuff Girls

Yakety Sax makes anything funny.
After The Dark Knight came out, some pals and I joked that there should have been a scene added: Two-Face, after leaving the hospital, just walks through the streets of Gotham. With every person he passes, he flips a coin to decide whether or not to shoot them. The entire thing would be set to "Yakety Sax".

Someone earlier mentioned my incredibly astute take on My Little Dashie. Awesome. On the subject of parodies, I'd recommend Little Dashie, which is darkly hilarious.

I also gathered we were talking about unpopular opinions. Welp, you know the drill with me: I dislike Fallout Equestria. I have a lot of problems, but the topper is that I find the protagonist unlikable, irritating, and morally repugnant.

I think today I'll read chapter 23. Red Eye stands a chance of being the third character in this story I actually like. Given that one of those two doesn't seem like she'll really be doing anything and the other is dead, man do I need it.
Fanfiction I hate.

well yes, my mentioning of the Mayor of Townsville after condy brought up the Mayor of Can Town is what started this whole tangent!

[up]I swear it gets better! Well, maybe Pip doesn't, but the rest of the story does!

@Meta: OK, I am cracking up just thinking about that.

Oh, man.

On the Yakety Sax page, there was a link to the bombing of Hiroshima set to it, and it was still funny.

But I already knew that I was going to hell anyway.

Yakety Sax should be played at all funerals.

Puppetry of the corpse is optional.

After actually watching that Ben Hur set to "Yakety Sax" video, now I'm wondering what a ponified version of the Ben-Hur chariot race would look like.

[up][up]OK, I am writing a will right now and requesting that that song be played when I am dead. Fun In Funeral indeed.

Also, if they can find my body, make it a Viking Funeral.

[up] Whatever it would be, it would probably be awesome.

@Pannic: That would be me, since I actually really do agree with you about that fanfic. Honestly, the only good thing I can say about MLD are the parodys that spawned from it and the fact that it's at least slightly better then Romance Reports {Which arguably isn't saying much}.

I just can't read fanfics.

Every time I start, I usually think that it is very poorly written and can't continue.
