Finally got to watch the episode! Lots of really nice bits in there - from Dash's sunglasses to the rainbow nuke to Ditzy fighting with the Mayor. Mac demolishing the pile of fillies who wanted him Smarty Pants without so much as a flinch was quite nice too. =D Oh, and psycho Twilight is scary. I can't blame the Crusaders for not wanting to play with Smarty Pants.

Is it just me, or did everyone's voice sound a bit strange this episode? Twilight sounded a bit higher than usual, I thought, and even Dash sounded a bit off.

I'm a college student! I don't have time for this!

I'm conflicted about RD's casual weaponization of the Rainboom.

On the one hand, I'm depressed that she's perfected the thing since I'm an Applejack fan, and I know she's not gonna be able to top that. We need more AJ awesomeness man.

I don't think that was actually a Rainboom. That was more like a rainmushroom cloud IIRC.

I'm also a little miffed that AJ was just hanging out in the trench since she's a perfectly capable athlete herself.

EDIT: Correction: I guess it's as she blows up the barn, which makes it a bit iffier.

AJ was actually just planning on taking it down with one or two good kicks, but RD thought she would need help and offered. AJ didn't want to hurt her feelings, or worse, start another Iron Pony competition, so she just let her.

The way RD was going about it, there was debris flying everywhere. It turned into a one-pony job, by virtue of RD's rather destructive methods.

Both of them seemed fine with the setup, so that's good enough for me.

IMO Applejack doesn't need crazy stunts to be awesome.

But if it really matters, she did manage to lasso Dashie in the previous episode, so I think it evens out.

It seemed like she wanted to use the rainboom because it would look awesome, yet she didn't get to see it in the end because she was ducking for cover.
