By worse, do you mean it was the stuff I was making up?

Also, I think this is the first time a Ponyville Militiamare has actually done some, well, serving the town.

@Psi: Honestly, I think it's a lot less saccharine than most of what's out there. At least it's aware of it and winks at the audience whenever things get particularly sappy. The ending of "Cutie Mark Chronicles" is a good example; it's cheesy, but Scootaloo's reaction keeps it from being too cloying. Not that it doesn't have it's moments (the Heart Carol, and the "hole in our hearts" line from "The Last Roundup" come to mind), but on the whole I think it does a pretty good job of avoiding that.

Rainbow Dash: Let adoration of entire town go to head.

Seriously, most people around here just get a medal, then the shopkeeper recognises them more often.

HOLY SHIT IT'S BATPONY.

@Japanese Teeth: I will give credit for the huge amount of Periphery Demographic it has, and that it makes a rather conscious effort to avoid Glurge, but still being a very cute natured show aimed with Aesops for little kids, it's inevitable it falls a bit into this category at times. There are times the show can get nausiatingly goody goody at least, especially in the earliest episodes.

I think it strikes a decent balances between cute and 'edgy'. It pushes envelopes when it can and it's just a nice show most times.

But she doesn't have wings.

Fuck it.

Save that bus full of tourists going down that same road that baby went down the other day. Seriously, we need a guardrail.

Okay, sorry for the late replies, I was downloading every image I ever upvoted on derpibooru in one go, not easy, but now I'm not missing a thing.

Okay, I have enabled questions, I was wondering why there was nothing new.

And if crowlover is still around, please let him know I made that story up, It's basically the MLP version of Power Rangers only in book form. I was making a connection to my own childhood where in which I developed a a distaste for the colour green because I was "traumatized" by the Green Ranger of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

@Ed

Ain't that the truth.

A tower block just collapsed because the crane screwed up.

Seriously, ponies, read my lips: Scaf-fold-ing!

SINCE WHEN DID PONYVILLE HAVE THE FUCKING HOOVER DAM ABOVE IT? And why is it about to blow up?

Also Pinkie's song in Over A Barrel.

Where were all these horrible disasters when Twilight needed them earlier?evil grin

[up][up]I'm not saying the show doesn't have good balance, there are A LOT more one dimentionally saccharine shows out there, it is however a very cute focused show all the same, and that's not for everyone.

But she doesn't have wings

She does when she wants to.

Also, there seems to have been a lot of technological progress in Ponyville since season 1.

This Hoover Dam doesn't come with its own Decepticon, which makes it 20% less cooler.

I mean, come on now Hasbro. It was so easy.

Okay, going to bed for real now.
