RE: Scootaloo: There was one fanfic I read where it was suggested that Scoot is the pegasus equivalent of a left-handed kid trying to learn to write with their right hand — if she tries to fly like Rainbow Dash she'll just keep failing, because she's not built to fly like Dash at all. Dash (and most pegasi) swoop and soar like eagles; Scootaloo, judging by the way she already uses her wings, is more like a hummingbird. She won't ever get into Sonic Rainboom territory, but if she ever does get her wings to work she will be terrifying over short distances... she'll probably set a record in the pegasus hundred-yard sprint that will stand for seventy years.

Headcanoned. Because not only would it give Scoots a break...but it's also pretty much how my other Pegasi crewmate works. He too buzzes around like a hummingbird...dosn't go very fast in a straight line, but can pretty much teleport over short distances.

In my headcanon Scootaloo can fly but she loves scooter so much that she focus her skills and wing on riding it instead flying.

And she is really good with that scooter.

pegasus, so she has wings twice the length of her body, making her a terrible normal flyer but a top notch long distance glider.
