The only dark thing in that episode are Sweetie Belle's foods.

As I find so much pleasure in that melts like my breath, I am always full of regret.
Welp, Rarity's house is on fire.
Also, Rarity's parents have the strongest stomachs on the show, if they can drink burnt juice.

That's not juice, that's toast.
How the hell do you burn juice?

Be Sweetie Belle.
Also, if you want something dark, pay attention in the trio of episodes "Read It And Weep", "Hearts and Hooves Day", and "A Friend In Deed". You can pick out what may be a rather dark little sub plot.

Tick Tock, goes the clock/ He cradled and he rocked her/ Tick Tock, goes the clock/Till River kills the Doctor.
"It's not that burnt"
"Sweetie, remember when the house caught fire and we found your rabbit afterwards? This breakfast looks like that rabbit!"

I actually really liked the episode. It is one of the very few I do.
As I find so much pleasure in that melts like my breath, I am always full of regret.
Or a golf club.
Hey! I was about to post that too until I noticed that you had said it already.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
Sweetie Belle is now going to destroy all of Rarity's clothing, which I believe will result in a murder/suicide.

Be Sweetie Belle.
>>Be the other filly
You are now Scootaloo.

Sweetie's boredom walk is the best.
Use hind legs for movement, and drag face along floor.

@ Lurker: It's probably not intentional, but think about it:
1) "Read It And Weep", possible cancer-inflicted pony.
2) "Hearts and Hooves Day", funeral.
3) "A Friend In Deed", suddenly empty house in Ponyville.
Tick Tock, goes the clock/ He cradled and he rocked her/ Tick Tock, goes the clock/Till River kills the Doctor.
I thought the house was outside of Ponyville.

Oh, damn!
Also, why does Rarity leave a chest of diamonds just lying around, open?
She must know that if a rogue Minecraft player comes in, all that loot is going to be stolen?
Sweetie Belle is going to demonstrate what happens when you leave diamonds hanging around.

The first two I can understand how you'd see a connection, but the empty house thing is a bit of a stretch. Pretty much any town is going to have a couple uninhabited houses at any given time.
Yeah, that's what I meant as to why it wasn't intentional.
