@D Roy: Yeah, that song is probably the one point in the series where I think they dove straight into corniness territory. Mainly because they played it completely straight; just about every other time they do something like that they usually include a wink at the audience (like at the end of Cutie Mark Chronicles). I mean, I like the thought behind it, but it just sounds really cheesy to me.

This is probably old news, but I just noticed that J Teeth has a fic on EQD. And with a pairing I sort of ship. Guess that's one more for my rapidly expanding fic backlog. That thing is getting quite bloated.
