Just watched the new episode.

Twilight is mildly disturbing, but hilarious.

Twilight messing with cupcakes with kind of red frosting reminds me of some other "cupcakes."

More proof of Fluttershy being best pony. Or else she will fuck you up beary bad.

CMC not angsting about their cutie marks? What is this sorcery?! (I like it.)

WHY DOES EVERYPONY ALWAYS FORGET THAT CELESTIA IS LAID BACK AND NOT A TYRANT?!

... Wait. The ponies think Celesita is a tyrant? Dear lord, they've been watching us!

Another thing I found adorable was Applejack's "Yes M'am!"

...Now I'm tempted to rewrite a certain "Weird Al" Yankovic song into "The Night Twilight Sparkle Went Crazy".

To be fair. Celestia did seem to be very treatening when she said

"Twilight I want to see you at the library" (she looked angry and she had a "spotlight")

Plus she did scare the mane cast a bit "I am listening"

Hahaha I loved this episode. It's probably one of my new favorites. I noticed the animation style was a bit off as well, but it didn't really bother me too much.

Well, Celestia did have a legitimate reason to be unhappy; having your best pupil basically cause a town-wide fight over a doll is cause for concern. It's understandable that she'd be a bit stern.

Celestia was perfectly reasonable this ep. And her maniulation fo the kids was awesome.

Yeah, but Twilight was freaking out already before we get to hear Celestia being stern.

And given the past, she is laid back most of the time.

I wonder how the episodes will differ from now, since they don't always have to end on Twilight being the one making a report.

Its interesting to me to see the nature of the respective mane cast's freakouts thus far. Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie all closed themselves off and turned inwards due due the perceived drama/pressure/trauma of the particular event. Rarity shut everyone out to wallow, RD became almost catatonic, and Pinkie just invented her own comforting world.

By contrast Twilight, Fluttershy, and to a lesser extent Applejack simply turn their energies outward into complete single minded obsession with whatever it is they're doing. AJ isn't quite as bad because her problems were created more out of ignorance and negligence at regular tasks than intentionally going nuts about it.

It might give us a chance to have episodes that DON'T feature Twilight at all, or that focus in on different sets of friends. Each one having a member of the mane cast in them

I think this episode showed the most evidence that some of the crew worked on Ed, Edd n' Eddy.

THAT'S where her crazy face looked so familiar, it reminded me of Eddy. Thanks, that was bugging me for a bit.

Just saw the episode and thought it was fantastic. It it weren't for the fact that production for this episode started before the brony phenomenon really took off, I'd be certain that the entire thing was a nod to us. If it was intentional, that would be a little worrisome, but I don't think that's the case.

On another note, the completely redrawn backgrounds leads me to believe that the show's budget has been increased. The new style's gonna take a little getting used to, but I think I'll like it in the long run.

Also, according to the Fi M wiki, this episode's writer also wrote Party of One, which is just so appropriate.

Also, it looks like Neurotic!Twilight is on her way to being spun off into her own character like Pinkamena was.

Yeah, that is pretty hilarious that the author is the same. Somebody likes descents into madness.

I don't hear anything different in the theme tune.

And I am 99% certain that train there was put in just because Hasbro made a new toy. Glad they worked it into the intro as subtle advertising, instead of making an episode with it. Really, it looks way too gaudy compared to the Appleloosa one.

Insane!Twilight is alreay spawning fanon around her. And the puddle scene only fules the split personality thing.

Now, what to name her? Dimlight? (Because she's not exactly so bright anymore.)

@Gingerninja: Please make Dangerous Business cannon. Crap, when reading the Dale section for that story I couldn't help but have "The Last Charge Of The Eorlingas" looping in my head. Like, it'd be nice if they did some serious epic at some point. As an OVA or something.

Hey, maybe a feature-length movie might be in order.

I find it strange that Twilight went nuts over the ammount of Icing that was on each cupcake, yet barely batted an eye at the fact that she'd been given a cupcake extra. Wouldn't that mess up her scheduling even more than the icing would?
