I don't see why it would ever need a separate continuity. In any case, the same rule as any other tie-in applies: it's canon unless contradicted by the source material.

It would be nice if Chrysalis became more of a constant threat, but we'll see.

If nothing else, I want to see some sort of aftermath of that, yeah. I mean, that wasn't just a Threat of the Season, it was a national-level one that was taken care of in a very short-term sense, is still at large and rather pissed, and could be taken in any of a thousand directions!
