@con: Comics being as male oriented as they are he might get a few looks.

As for the synopsis itself, it sounds like the storyline is going to be pretty good. I wonder if that is going to be the overall tone of the comic?

Being aware of the phenomenon and being ok with said phenomenon are two totally different things, neither of which can be assumed by even your average nerd.

I think the format would support that pretty well.

I've always kind of felt that comic books are the most efficient storytelling medium ever created by man.

Fun fact, when IDW released their first Godzilla comic, they had a special variant cover template featuring Godzilla stomping on the comic book store you bought it from. Hand drawn store for every store that sold the comic across America.

MLP comic collectors are getting off easy for just getting 8 covers for the first issue.

But yeah, hooray for more changelings in the comics!

I'm still curious as to whether the comic is going to be connected to the show continuity (besides what has already happened), or if it is going to be separate. The latter will probably be easier for the comic authors, but will probably lead to problems in the long-run.

I also wonder how much creative control Hasbro is asserting over this. From what's happening I'm assuming very little.

I'm assuming that the continuity will probably be separate from the show, mainly because something as big as bringing back the changelings would probably impact the plot enough that it would carry over if they were both canonical. Either that or it'll be one of those deals where there's no overlap, but no contradictions either.
