She teleported INSIDE of the ball so she would end up breaking it, making sure that the crusaders would stay focused on her. That's kinda clever.

When I first saw Fluttershy wrestle the bear I thought she was just trying to get a wild bear under control. Dealing with animals is her special talent, of course she can fight a bear and win!

Rewatching the episode I noticed that while the group of background ponies are chasing the Mayor, Derpy's heart eyes are, well, derped! I thought that was a nice touch.

At about 17:00, around when Applejack says "What in the name of apples & oranges is going on here??"

For some reason, the way the ponies eyes kinda roll back into their heads and become hearts when the spell affects them REALLY creeped me out

Telefragging the ball: Damn, she can do that? It takes quite some concentration and skill to do such a thing without telefragging yourself.

OK, this is one of the best episodes from series, far superior than Ticket Masters. Now I'm sure s2 will be great and better than s1.

I'm intrigued that they've now expanded the premise to include the other mane characters. I wonder if this will continue into future episodes and if it means larger emphasis on the others learning things and not needing Twilight in every episode. As much as I like her, I can see the need for variety considering there have been plenty of eps where some don't appear at all.

I will address Rainbow Dash's weaponised Rainboom as the Thermonuclear Rainboom.

I can vaguely sympathize with Twilight; in High School I was one of those people who would basically go into a Freak Out if I thought I wasn't going to get something done on time. I mellowed out a bit in college, but I still get stressed really easily. Which is probably why I'm losing my hair at age 23. But yeah, in my last two years of high school, I pretty much perpetually resembled my avatar.

I think most of us have known one of those people who has a sort of "perfect streak" when it comes to getting everything done on time, and they tend to take it really hard when the streak gets broken. It isn't until you actually miss one that you realize it really isn't such a big deal.

Also, when Celestia cancels Twilight's doll spell, you can see Derpy and the Mayor are fighting with each other. Who wants to be that it's going to lead to shipping? (Because what doesn't lead to shipping)

Anyway, this was an awesome episode. Twilight had some of the best expressions I've ever seen in this show, and pretty much everypony got something to do without feeling like everything was crammed in.
