[up] I would point out that whenever Twilight starts maintaining that all forms of magic are scientific and predictable, Pinkie gets a twitchy tail and then an anvil falls on Twilight's head.

You and The Muppets, man.

I'm starting to think you may have a problem.

I counterpoint that Pinkie is just a high-tier ESPer and she can see the random event flags tripping. Also she has the power to see past the Fourth Wall.

[up][up] Only one?!

You vastly underestimate the number of my dysfunctions.

[up] Kindly explain for the class how ESP is not a form of magic. Points will be deducted for every time you make up a new particle.

Ace! Just the man I need to see!

Would you recommend a graphics tablet if I was making a comic?

Florence and Agatha back up my summations.

Also it explains why Big Mac is so strong, imagine the volume of coinage he has to haul for various things.

@Apple: Heya! A drawing tablet helps quite a bit in getting your art on the screen directly. Much easier than a mouse, too.

[up] That doesn't back up anything at all! Neither of those take place in the same universe as ponies.

Unfortunately.

I'm sure equestrian currency has higher denominations to compress coinage to reasonable levels.

As for Pinkie Pie, her abilities are like Quantum Mechanics. It's still science, we just haven't figured it out yet.

Any inadequately explained science is indistinguishable from magic.

I kind of lean towards the Mage: The Awakening model of magic, in which any sufficiently analysed magic is still magic and the second you're convinced you know everything about it, it comes back to bite you in the form of weird shit.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind magic as a sort of arcane science discipline, I just don't think that's how it works in Equestria no matter how much Twilight thinks it does.

Pinkie sense is just a kind of low-level reality-bending ESP.

I see Magic as having two primary forms, a controlled form which can be documented and replicated, and a Wild form which is unpredictable.

Thanks Ace!

See it occurs to me, if I digitalise everything, I can save models for later use.

And thank you too Fallen. waii

ESP is just an advanced psionic ability :P There's a lot of cross-referred data in various tomes and the UFO-pedia.

It's totally magic, but if it can be analyzed, then you can analyze scientifically. Pinkie Sense has repeatable and verified results. Its accuracy has been scientifically proven. Science and magic are not mutually exclusive in any way whatsoever unless the universe intrinsically introduces a random factor to make it impossible to analyze.

Fun fact:

Human beings have a lot more than five senses.

@Ace: I'm not sure what question you think you're answering, but it certainly wasn't the one I asked.

For the third and final time: In what way is psychic power not a form of magic?

Hmm. The thought occurs that perhaps all Earth ponies have a degree of spider-sense - Granny Smith being able to tell in an instant how good an apple is, for example - and Pinkie just has hers ramped up to ridiculous level.

ESP can also refer to Extrapolative Sensory Power, a kind of super-predictive sense that lets you extrapolate the future.

But when her tail does twitch, something always falls. I said accurate, not consistent.
