I've got nothing to say on the naming issue.
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.
What's really confusing is how pony parents seem to have prophetic abilities for naming their children in line with their future personalities and/or talents.
I have never thought about it but yes, that really is curious.
@condottiera - That must have been awkward.
Let the gratuitous fanservice and zaniness be purged.
I don't know...Pinkie is pink, so that's hardly a mystery, and pie could be the family theme...that's not to say Pinkie's name was tied to what she would grow to be.

I don't think I've seen this video.
Journalism is just a gun. It's only got one bullet in it, but if you aim right, that's all you need.
Oh, it's that one. I find it a little funny due to how macabre it is. I'll agree it is perhaps a little vulgar, but I can't help but chuckle all the same. Of course, I'm the same person who laughs at Flutterthing!

Changing the subject. Just last week, I discovered a certain mint-green pony's name is pronounced Lie-ra, not Leer-a. Sorry, Lyra.
Pronounced "Sid-zellia"
Actually, Twilight and SA's names (and possibly their parents') can both be associated with light.
