That sounds great, especially if he's proven right on at least one occasion. Like the racket from her parties wakes up something dangerous from the Everfree Forest, or her cupcakes makes one of her friends sick or something.

Here, what if Foil! Rarity was a Blacksmith, with elements of a modern day car mechanic? Generous and artistic like her (make metal scultures in their spare time), but is quite vulger and unclouth.
Would likely use phrases like 'kiss my but!' a lot for example, and spit a lot too.

Today I learned that just because you don't like somepony doesn't mean they're a bad person. They have their own problems that can be just as bad as mine. But that shouldn't stop me from doing my best to show them up at every opportunity.

Yes, this Foil! cast is pretty fun to imagine, isn't it!
Here's what I got:
Foil! Twilight: A Mad Scientist inventor. Is/was a student at Twilight's school, but is a lazy frat boy type as opposed to her studious bookwormyness. Has a cute little girl dragon named Scales.
Foil! AJ: A worker at the train yard. Manhattan native, and a hustler. Prone to lying.
Foil! Rarity: The Metal Worker Artist. Unclouth, but generous.
Foil! Pinkie: The Cop.
Now, what about the two Pegasi?

Foil!Rainbow Dash I had as a rival contender for the wonderbolts position. Shy, timid, and quiet. He has a sick relative or something, and in his quest to save her and pay her medical bills, he ends up betraying or abandoning people a lot to get what he needs

Also, what if Twilight had previous contact with Foil! Twilight? A flashback shows Twi in a lecture taking notes, while Foil! Twi is right beside her, either sleeping, or playing with a Rubix Cube or a troll doll or something.
Edit: Foil Twi! is a textbook case of brilliant but lazy. They have honest to god talent, but they are usually too lazy and unmotivated to use it to it's fullest extent.

Or Twilight's foil has been in Ponyville this whole time. The flashbacks are all to earlier episodes, and they pan over a bit to show her just off screen looking bored.

Foil!Fluttershy should be someone who poses as a pony similar to Fluttershy by caring for animals, but really just exploits them to fund her company which is planning on destroying their habitats or something.
Also, if any of the foils say something like "Foiled again!" I will smash my head through the desk.
