People keep making up pony names with ponified corruptions of real words, but ponies in the show don't have names like that. Like, at all. It just bugs me a little bit, as it trips my "this would not fit with canon" alarm.

It bugs me too. That's why I decided to go with Private Eye instead of Fetlock Holmes for the name of my RP character.

Seapony Lyra came from the natural conclusion of how much Lyra was "Different" from other ponies only instead of human some think it's a seapony thing. I think the general idea is that Lyra dreams of being whole other species.

Gamer Luna has been around for quite a bit of time, it was probably more projection from the fandom into a character who was previously a blank slate. I mean she's a goddess of the night that spends a lot of time alone and appears to be a misunderstood loner; labeling "Gamer" on her to make her even more identifiable makes sense.

FYI, if you publish the work and make it available for general viewing, more people will look at it. Just saying.

Also, I see you found that Pinkie Pie fic I wrote for Applelight.

That would certainly be interesting, although you'd have to be careful to keep the tech level consistent.

I made mine about four days ago.

I actually wanted to write a fanfic, focusing on a Changeling that got lost after the wedding. It wanders and ends up in Ponyville and stuff like that. I am pretty sure there are already numerous fanfics with that premise, but hey.

I am not going to work on any pony fanfic for a while, though. I want to wait until the season 3 ends.
