Are there any DMOS pages for fandoms? Because even though I love most of this fandom I have a few bones to pick with the Brony fandom.

EDIT: This has got to be the worst and most awkward page-topper ever.

Here's a hint: If you want to express your displeasure with the fandom, feel free to do it here. I know I have.

Just because this is site has a wiki doesn't mean that we all have to write down everything on the wiki.

Dethroning Moment of Suck only exists because people want to live in an illusion that their hatred is so important it has to be preserved.

I guess that's why people are bitter about opinions being purged from the wiki.

...should I feel bad for being a bisexual brony? Something Gingerninja 666 said a while back still sticks with me.

I mean no offense, but that is a really stupid thing to feel bad about. What does your sexual orientation have to do with your taste in cartoons?

(I don't feel bad, perhaps I phrased that wrong.)

I think gingerninja disliked that he was confirming some stereotype or something.

I'm uncertain as to whether there should be more or less shame in being a heterosexual male brony.
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...

I don't see what sexual orientation should have to do with liking Friendship Is Magic.

Good thing that you don't, but other people have their own perceptions.

Then again, if they're going to judge me for finding stylized cartoon horses amusing, I'd rather not associate with them anyway.

Then again (again), I usually follow a "don't ask, don't tell" sort of procedure, so it doesn't actually come up for me anyway.

Eh, I don't think anything like that matters. If you like ponies, cool. If you don't, that's cool too, but you can take your hate elsewhere, like say... the mooooooooon!

Ah, I was thinking about that earlier, as my mother mentioned my love of My Little Pony as one of the reasons she suspected I might be gay. Part of me wants to argue that that's an unfair stereotype, but I worry that "there are lots of straight male bronies!" wouldn't mean much coming from a bisexual transwoman.

...I'm not sure I actually added anything to this conversation, but whatever.

...I'm starting to like the people in this thread.

You think we should set up some way to talk about things other than ponies? A spin-off thread for ourselves in YF, maybe?

Because I miss all the interesting discussions.

...I started doing it mainly back when it was "let's debate Trixie endlessly!" for like three weeks.

and this post had better not start another damn Trixie debate or those involved get the STOP sign

Yeah, My dad said something like: "No way a straight person can like MLP"

I felt bad because I couldn't exactly say he was wrong (with regards to me) [lol]

Are we going to discuss our sexual preferences again? Anyway, what sex you like to sleep with has little to do with "manliness" and associalted attributes, otherwise there would be no such thing as a Lipstick Lesbian. I like ponies, Glee, and Princess Tutu. By that standard I should be drowning in rooster, regardless of my gender.

Ah, the sexual orientation discussion again. Never gets old! [lol]

[up][up][up]I fully agree with what you said Pacific. And I said last time that there's a big difference between manlyness and machismo, and I stand by that. Some of the most 'macho' people I've seen are about as 'manly' as a tube of vagisil. tongue

And do I need to mention my beer swillin', tatooed Viking gay friend again?

I'll admit, I was in the closet about this show for a while. It was because my friends find my enjoyment of cartoons that arn't South Park or Family Guy weird anyway, and I thought that MLP:FIM would only exasperate that. But, I worked it all out.

And as for all you haters saying that Ponies make you 'gay', try telling me that when I'm deep in Bronette! Because I found one, and she's a friggin' beaut! wink
