My favorite custom will always be Leperlot.

Dissatisfied with the teachings of the Pony Orthodox Church, particularly the bit that life was all adventures and sparkles and rainbows, Lovealot travelled to India with a friend to find herself. Her friend later attained enlightenment, but Lovealot only acquired a bad case of leprosy in an ashram outside of Delhi. Forced to change her name and shunned from pony society, the newly named Leperlot devoted herself plotting revenge on her sparkly pink fellows. Her current whereabouts are unknown, but a pony thugee cultist described by witnesses as "kinda oozy" has lately been sought by the authorities in connection with the deaths of a number of highly placed ponies.

It didn't pass - it didn't pass - it didn't pass from me. I drank it when we met the gas beyond Gethsemane.

So I just watched Suited for Success again. It's a nice little touch that Rarity's mane gets more and more frazzled over the course of the episode.

It occurs to me that Vinyl Scratch is surprisingly popular for only getting 7 seconds of screen time. It's not even like she's one of the background ponies who show up every other episode or so; nope, she's only in this one.

One background pony who has always intrigued me was Tutti-Frutti.

I like the filly who's special talent is "island with a tree on it".

Let's see if I can't find the pic...

Wait, you mean Suited for Success wasn't a commercial to sell accessories?

Huh...

Suited for Success is one of my favorite episodes.

Top is definitely Sonic Rainboom. No doubt about that.

Then it starts to get a little fuzzy. Winter Wrap Up and Over A Barrel and Cutie Mark Chronicles and Applebuck Season and Suited For Success are all kind of vying for second place.

I know, it's just that I was watching Suited for Success, and I thought "this is totally a commercial. Hasbro's trying to sell clothing accessories for the toys."

I guess they give Lauren Faust quite a bit of creative control.

From what I've heard, they're basically like "By the by, we need more of this pony" and Lauren's all like "Kay!"

Vinyl is reasonably popular (laregely because she's awesome, so, you know...) but she's not the most ludicrous I've seen - that honour, I think, would go to Pokey Pierce, the unicron popping ballons in the first CMC episode, who had an 8 part fic written from 3 seconds of screen time - I've never read anything that focuses soley on Vinyl, just plenty of pictures.

The Positive: It's finally here!

The Negative: It's only in states with a store called Meijer!
Finally, living in Ohio gives me an advantage for once!

For some reason introducing Meijer as "a store called" is weird to me. Maybe because I've actually been to Meijer.

It's weird to me too, given that I live less than 5 minutes from a Meijer and go there several times a week.

I wouldn't have known it was a store if someone just threw the name at me with no context.

GLaDOS Pony◊ Now I've seen everything.

At first I'm thinking "how on Earth is that going to work" and then I see that "oh, I guess that works".

Also, I don't get the 4 pack idea. Why exclude Applejack and Fluttershy? I'd think they'd do something like that in divisions of six or something.

Space Jawa : I know; I would've expected two three-packs, myself. Especially since having sets of three would make it super-easy to do a Cutie Mark Crusaders set in the same fashion later on... But at least these toys look more like the actual characters.

I'm surprised they haven't made any toys of Apple Bloom, actually. Even if they're not wanting to spoil her mark, why not make a 'blank flank' set? They're Merchandise Driven anyway, so it's not like they couldn't justify bringing out updated versions later, after they earn their marks in the show...

Even better, it would more easily allow kids fans to customize their CMC figures if they wanted. They could even base a CMC set around the idea by encouraging them to add whatever cutie marks to the CMC they thought appropriate and include some art supplies to help them make it happen.

Awww, that would be cute! ♥ They could have sticker sheets too, with all the cutie marks that you could get in that online game and some blank stickers to draw on...

...Also, just added a page for Memories Of Days Long Past. Not much on it at the moment, but darn it, if Cupcakes can have a page, why not this one?

[up][up] I know what you mean. Who would have guessed not that long ago how big this show would get? It's like a phenomenon or something.
