I would also love to see an assassination attempt where the attacker manages to get through the royal guard, only to have an Oh Crap reaction when he realizes: "Oh right, I'm attacking a GOD"

Well the only time we've seen the guard ponies do any defending of Celestia they got swatted out of the sky pretty quickly. The rest of the time they seem to just stand around or get sent out after missing pets.

To be fair, they were up against a god in that scenario. What did you expect?

However, I would like to see them actually be competent at their job for once. Maybe by holding back a unicorn villain who tries to attack Celestia maybe? A villain who then goes off and targets the mane cast

I hope Equestria have some kind of army not only those guards.

And some of ponies at Gala are elite solders/agents of equestria defense forces.

They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.

I don't think Equestria even has an army. Why would it need one? Celestia and Luna alone can take out anything short of a god tier foe. And if one of those comes along then an army would be useless anyway

earlier in the thread, I saw a conversation about making a Back from the Dead happy ending to one of the Grim Dark fan fics. would that happen to be "Cloud Factory"? I've never actually read it but I know the jist of it. I usually ignore this stuff but I want to know because that stories characterization of Rainbow Dash made it onto the Complete Monster page.

and if Rainbow Dash stays a Complete Monster in this fic, please tell me she gets a Karmic Death. if you don't reform her in the happy ending, that's the only option.

Oh goodness, it's almost like being on an image board when the trolls are busy with real life or something.

I have a mental picture of a couple of "favourite" guards who do most of Celestia's gruntwork in a manner like Shawn Ogg. Those poor fellows would end doing so much they get paid double for all their hard work
