I also know that a lot of alchemists back in the day were just scam artists and snake oil salesmen.

But he's so big and Smarty Pants isn't, it'd be -gets shot-

we have a trope for that.

[up][up] In that case, alchemy would be Flim and Flam's thing.

I assume Story is referring to Classical alchemy. Zecora's potions and phylters are more the purview of apothecaries and we haven't sen anyone try to transmute metals, so no.

Journalism is just a gun. It's only got one bullet in it, but if you aim right, that's all you need.

We haven't seen her trying to make the Philosopher's Stone because she already has clearly.

Also we barely see her so she could be.

The funny part is that in some langauges, Apothecary is basically a pharmacy. And we have seen modern hospitals and pills.

@crow: But what would you keep it in?

You'd make it so that it doesn't mix to form the solvent until you need it. Like have some glass or something down the middle of a flask.

@condo Mix it next to what you want to dissolve, then dissolve the substance to its saturation point.

As for what use that would be, I really don't know.

Or keep it contained in a magic force field.

Look, I get it. I was just making a joke. Or, more precisely, stealing a joke from Batman.

[up][up]Though the force field would need to be in a vacuum and the magic couldn't have any matter, just forces.

I love how we take every ridiculous hypothetical question super seriously. I love that about being a geek.

And they have these sorts of containment units for antimatter, don't they?

Tara Strong just favorited a YouTube Poop, a Spongebob one no less. That's one of the last things I expected to see on my home page.

Also, here's the Poop in question. WARNING: CONTAINS FLASHING LIGHTS AND LOUD NOISES.

IF you only want to contain antiprotons or positrons, it's easy since you can use an electrical field inside a vacuum sealed container. Anti hyodrogen is much harder since it's neutral, so you need a magnetic trap.

well, they have something similar using plasma fields for things that need to be maintained in a vacuum but have solid objects pass through them, like coilguns.

Everybrony, may I have your attention please!

I'd like to call upon your help in doing a major revamping of the character pages. Some of the current character pages have been a tad restricting and made categorizing a bit of a hassle. With Season 3 coming sooner and sooner its best we do this sooner than later. I've started a thread on the main Characters Discussion page, should be at the top about making new pages.

Please contribute!

Hey, everybrony, I gotta be off. I'm going to a production of Richard III tonight and it's gonna be sweet.

I'll be back later, possibly to post pictures of ponies reenacting Shakespeare.
