I'm not sure if they could get away with a Mushroom Samba, but I do think that they could get away with having a character hallucinate some other way.

I used to edit a lot more than I do now. My last big effort was to clean up the World of Warcraft entry on All Trolls Are Different a week or so ago as it had gotten pretty fractured and nattery. I wrote the original entries for Webomic/Pawn and Boku X Kano, and have posted several reviews (none of which have ever gotten any responses :P).

Uh, back on topic, inquisitive ponies.

It's not so much fitting it in, as getting away with having a character end up intoxicated. Although I will say it's a lot more likely now than it was in season 1.

They don't necessarily have to get intoxicated.

One chapter in Avatar was this because Aang didn't get..enough..sleep...

They might be able to get away with it more if they used a source of intoxication that doesn't exist in real life, or at least isn't something parents would worry about their children having easy access to. Real horses can get "high" on locoweed (I looked up horse intoxication for this post) so maybe some kind of plant that they find in the Everfree forest? Kind of like poison joke only it causes hallucinations rather than physical changes.

Well yeah, but they've already done that. Although I have to admit the idea of Pinkie hallucinating and not being noticed by anyone else because she usually acts crazy anyway.

Does the "Find a Pet" song count as evidence for Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash being BF Fs? (I mean, in a closer way than they are with the other girls.)

I think Cider Squeezy and Hurricane Fluttershy are better evidence.

The hallucinations could result from a magical spell, too. If the "Want it, need it" spell can make ponies obsessed with a specific object, there could also be a mind-altering spell that causes hallucinations. Although come to think of it, Discord already caused hallucinations through magic, and the changes he made to Ponyville were certainly typical of a Mushroom Samba kind of sequence.

And yeah, I think it's fairly obvious that Fluttershy and RD are pretty good friends, probably due to the fact that they've probably known either other longer than most of the cast has.

Really long story.

I don't edit much, but I've been working on the Two Best Friends Play page because I didn't feel like I was contributing enough.

As for a Mushroom Samba, I think it'd be funny for someone (Twilight, maybe?) to go to Zecora's for a snack, and eat something hallucenogenic. The others would then have to stop said pony, who is rampaging downtown because they think everypony is a Changeling.

Actually, Twilight being paranoid about a changeling conspiracy doesn't require any external stimuli. She could obsess over that without help. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if she did.
