If I were a supervillian, I'd put a fake clock on it with the wrong time. Also, I'd put lots of colored wires on it to distract people who watch too many movies.

Or you could make the bomb a hollowed out fake. And you could stuff the corpse of the hero's sidekick inside it to really freak him out.
