So long as I don't see it or have to read about it, it's harmless. They can't just do whatever they want, though. There are very well-defined places for the stuff, and it needs to stay there. Simple as that.

I like really long slice-of-life fanfictions, whether or not they veer into epic-battle territory.

When I think about the voice acting in the show, I think about two lines in my head that I think should get Memetic Mutation:

1. Tabitha St. Germain sounds like every mare.
2. Peter New sounds like every stallion.

Okay, I know that that's not entirely true, but St. Germain voices a lot of female characters in the show, and New voices a lot of male characters in the show. They do a good job sounding different across the characters they voice!

I'm basically with Perpetual on the subject of cloppers; if they enjoy it they're fully entitled to do so, just as people who are weirded out or disturbed by it have the right to not have to look at it or hear about it if they don't want to.

As for discussing it in this thread, general policy is to not discuss sexual subjects in explicit detail, and the subject of clopping is right on the line. I think mentioning it in a "hey, this exists" manner is okay, but going into any level of detail on the subject probably isn't a good idea. The other thing is that when the subject was brought up in the past, the general consensus seemed to be that most people didn't care to really discuss it, for reasons varying from "I'm not comfortable sexualizing the characters to that degree" to "it's fine, but I'd rather not discuss it" to "it isn't appropriate subject matter for the thread", so ultimately I think it's better to take a pass on the issue, even if it is an interesting subject.

My opinion of CLOP is similar to how I feel about QWOP: It's silly in a hilarious way, until the novelty wears off.

I just realized earlier that TS and Rarity (and SB) have one sibling each, AJ and Pinkie (and AB) have two, and RD and Fluttershy (and Scootaloo) are only children as far as we know. Interesting.

Nice Spot check. Though more accurately, it's that we know nothing about RD's and Fluttershy's and Scootaloo's families.

I wonder if there's any reason for that? Maybe pegasi are just too busy to have many kids.

What if we got a Scootaloo episode, and it shows her going home to a house with two parents and like five siblings all living in it, and everything is as cheerful as can be. How much fanon would be shattered, and how delicious would the tears be?

Depending on how genetics (or generally which subspecies the child becomes) works, I would imagine they would have to average out to 2 children per household for the pegasus population to be maintained.

There's still the matter of Scootaloo not being able to fly, and her being insecure about it.

But a good chunk of the fandom would probably be in tears.

Fluttershy is Pegasus and maybe Unicorn somewhere way back in her ancestry to have magic to control animals.

@Mio It would be the same kind of deal as when Luna was expected to be this broken woobie of a character, but turned out to be the hammiest thing since ham itself. Tons of past fanworks would be jossed simultaneously.

It wouldn't so much as shatter Scootafanon so much as it would warp it into disfigured forms leaving bronies confused and in intense pain.

The tears would taste like turkey, ironicly.

She doesn't control animals. At best, she can compel them when she goes into Stare-mode, but for the most part, she only talks to/with them. Like Dr. Doolittle, or Ma-Ti.

Also, the fandom rejoiced at having canon characterization, and adjusted accordingly.

I doubt it would ultimately stop the trend. The people have pretty firmly pigeonholed her into the fandom punching bag and all this does is give her a family to actually lose in their eyes.
