No, I'm just saying that there was no setup for the joke. There was the picture, then some posts about the dogs looking nice, and then Gex called them bitches. Yes, it makes literal sense... but it fails as a punchline because there was no setup. The dogs aren't doing anything bitchy, there was no talk of them doing anything bitchy... he just came in and referenced the fact that female dogs are also called bitches with no further context.

And now I'm dropping this subject, because I've spent more time on it than I ever should have in the first place.

The way I headcanon Trixie is that for her to reach full power like that she would have to A: have a huge audience, and B: Ham it up to the max as she does so. Essentially, she would become pony Michael Bay.

I like the idea of Trixie's power actually scaling as a direct result of how hamtastic she is.

That depends on whether or not the pseudo-fourth wall is intact as she does so.

It's not just the ham that does it. In my head her talent is performance magic, meaning that how strong of a spell she can cast scales with how much of a show she is putting on with it. All of that stage bravado contributes to it, but it's only part of the effect. It also means that she would be rather terrible at the low-key utility spells that Twilight tends to use.

Yeah, they do throw rocks and crap, but it's usually really easy to avoid.
