Speaking of fighting Changelings...they can overpower the trained soldiers of the guard...yet the mane six can wade through scores of them with little effort.

Continued attempts To groom my Twilight. Somewhere out there AHR is laughing at me.

[up]There's a perfectly logical explanation for that: The Royal Guard were not the main characters ad therefore lacked the weight to combat the changelings.

I don't want to pick one of the Applejack episodes because I'm already too much like her (despite what a certain test claims), so... I'd probably go with Winter Wrap Up.

[up][up][up] Wasn't it somewhere implied that Royal Guards are more of a decoration than actual force? I mean, if one of Princesses isn't able to win with X, then they surely don't stand a chance either.

And besides, Mane Six has some combat experience. Rarity bucked a manticore in the Season 1 pilot, RD bucked a dragon. And that's not even starting on Twilight's "raw magical power" and the others' numerous quirky powers.

Time to get more goodies. Wouldn't put it better.

I'm going with a combo of Plot Armor and the fact that the guards were caught more by surprise. Either that or the mane 6 have a latent power boost via the Eo H.

That's not combat experience, that's just reckless stupidity.

Her stint as a local superhero would be better credentials.

The guards are more vulnerable to changelings because they all look the same anyway.

@Mousa: Hey, it's Linkara!

@Survey: Series premier. I'm pretty much in Twilight's horseshoes from the start of that episode. Free job and a new tight-knit group of friends? Sign me up.

I'd say unparalleled bravery on Dash's part.

I'd want Boast Busters to happen. Free magic show.

Plot Armour, that's it.

Maybe it's a joke referencing the fact that fantasy heroes are untouchable in combat against mooks.

@story: Eh, aside from the manticores and fabulous river serpents, Everfree might as well be where I grew up. I got no problems with that.

Well, considering that the mane six were rather easily overwhelmed themselves and had teamwork on their side, I could easily see the bulk of the changeling forces handily defeating the the guards, especially since they were short their captain.

I like My Little Denarians take on the guards jobs

They handle the little things that are to small and to numerous to require a princesses personal attention, and when it comes to big things there job is to get the civilians out of the way while the Princess go to work.

@Sky: We had poisonous plants where I grew up. :P

But either way, none of those were in the series premier, so I wouldn't have to deal with them anyway.

@Wryte, yeah, I've been catching up with his stuff, Between this thread, digital colouring takes forever, Skyrim, and MLP, I haven't been keeping up with TGWTG like I used to and I was procrastinatng the most on Linky' s stuff because as much s I enjoy his reviews and storylines his reviews are very dense and take a committement to get through and I ad time today. Worth it, though I'm not done yet.

And I think I would want... I'm not sure. A love poison may probably the only way I'd have any chance with anybody, but I never take anything negatively mind altering so ultimately I think I want Show Stoppers to happen to me because I love performing.

I don't read comic books now or when I was a kid, but I really like his reviews anyway. We seem to think a lot alike, and he makes the material very accessible with his summaries.

I'd be turned off by the prospect of Love Poison more because it seems a little too much like magic ruffies, myself.

I'm turned off by the love poison idea too, but I'm also desperate.

And I only sort-of read comics when possible but mostly get my knowledge from cartons and video games when it comes to Superheroes. Linky's reviews provide me with great refresher knowledge and shows me just how screwed up comic history has been.

Also episode I'd want to be in: The pilot. I'm basically the sort of shy shut in that would need an assignment in order to go out and make friends and even then it would be hard. Also meeting AJ, Fluttershy, and Pinkie for the first time would be so awesome.
