You'll just have to live with it okay, Serphem, I'm not a big fan of musicals.

The only ones I think I enjoyed were The Jungle Book and some of the Muppet films.

Is it heinous to dislike one aspect of the show?

I do like some musicals, and I have to agree that the BBBFF was a bit cheesy. The reprise was really good, though.

I absolutely love Disney songs, especially likes of ones featured in The Beauty and the Beast.

I'm on Psi's side here. All the lovey love-love stuff really got anvilicious throughout. Combined with my distaste for the way Twilight's paranoia about Cadence was ultimately lauded, Canterlot Wedding is actually my least-favorite episode of the entire series. Even the songs fell flat for me. :/

Really, the changelings were the only part I enjoyed. I couldn't even say for certain that I'd have stuck with the show if this had been my introduction to it.

I wasn't too fond of BBBFF as a song, though it does serve the mechanical point of establishing Shining Armor, well, existing.

I agree that the episode doesn't make a very good entry part for the series, but considered as a season finale I think it works pretty well.

I'm still sad they didn't do a callback to Dragonshy.

I thought the fact that Fluttershy was so adamant about not watching the dragon migration was a callback. She can overcome her fear when the chips are down and her friends are in danger, but she's still terrified of dragons. So watching thousands of them is not remotely her idea of fun.

I have this headcanon of [the CMC] stwoing away in the Mane 6's luggage after hearing about the wedding and pretty much having all sorts of offscreen antics while they try to earn various wedding cutio marks, till somepony finally gives them the flower-filly job.

Heck yes. Can someone write this?

Sorry if It seemed like I was jumping on someone. I get a bit defensive if it seems someone is trying to push across there YMMV as fact. Even if you don't mean it that way, if it comes off that way to me I gt a bit upset. it's more in HOW it's said then what's said.
