Nope. It's just a stand alone episode.

What? How can you have something like a time travel and let it just be a standalone episode?! Oh well, I will just have to wait.

Twilight is NOT Genre Savvy. People NEVER believes it when you tell them you got a message from future self, for a good reason.

The trick to taking messages into the past is to remember a time you were ready for time-travellers and jump back to yourself at that moment.

[up] Sorry, I don't get it.

any kind of disaster

Keep an eye on Rarity's house for fashion disasters.

I wonder why her first instinct isn't too immediately send a letter to Celestia.

@d Roy Don't worry, she does. She checks for every disaster.

@Roy: Surely a som time in your life you were prepared to meet people from the future? That's the best time to jump back to.

Also AJ and Rarity have serious things going on this episode [lol]

Oh wow, Fluttershy is making the guardian of the realm of the damned her bitch.

OH COME ON! Tartarus' gate was open. Freaking TARTARUS' door was open and WE DON'T SEE ANY ACTION?

Whoever wrote this episode is no Homer.

Standing there and do nothing...actually, if the main character of the Minority Report did that, he would have solved the plot a lot more easily.

@Roy: Twi just pwned what is esssentially some generic hero's Epic Level campaign with a short trip and Fluttershy's help.

I think the fact that Twilight just strolled up to the gates of Hell casually off screen was part of the humor.

In honor of my finishing the game Bastion, here is Fluttershy hugging a Squirt.

And here's a ponified The Kid.

The best part is how Celestia just casually walks by and does not seem surprised at Twilight's antics. At all.

In honor of my finishing the game Bastion, here is Fluttershy hugging a Squirt.

That reminds me of a 40k crossover fic where Fluttershy Stared a Squig into submission.

It turned from a vicious, bloodthirsty ball of teeth and teeth into a cuddly, adorable ball of teeth and teeth!

I'm probably one of the few people who actually liked It's About Time. Their really wasn't a whole lot that I was expecting from it, and while it had it's fair share of flaws, it was still entertaining and decent enough for me.

[down]And that as well.tongue

I found it to be hilarious and entirely in character for Twilight, personally. Sometimes it's nice to just have an event driven comedy episode rather than a character driven one.

Eh for me it was a slightly above average episode, no real flaws, but nothing really AMAZING either. just a good solid episode overall

Though I do love again how subtle the show is, and how they DON'T have to force every single lesson down you throats, they just show consequences naturally and trust the audience to get it like with the "moral" being "Don't worry to much about what MIGHT happen that you waste the present" they had the little 'That's future!Spike's problem, but now i AM Future!Spike to add a clear, but not shoved in your face addendum of "But that's no reason to do shit you'll know you'll regret later."

[down] BINGO it's why Rule Of Cool Rule of Funny et al exist.

Well, when the primary goal of watching a show is entertainment, having it succeed in that goal makes it easier to forgive when it doesn't quite reach the secondary ones.
