Here's a bit of Fridge Brilliance I thought of.

In the latest episode, many have commented on the fact that Fluttershy was taller and lankier than the other fillies, and have chalked it up to the fact that she's a year older than the others, as she said to Pinkie in an earlier episode. But why would she be in flight school with the younger fillies? Well, we also learned that she was a terrible flier when she was young, therefore, Fluttershy was held back in Flight School.

As for the Princess comparisons, here's how I see it.

Twilight Sparkle = Belle. Emphasis on learning and being smarter than the others.

Applejack = Tiana. Hard worker, but stubborn, and doesn't always loosen up.

Fluttershy = Snow White. Friend to All Living Things and the most nature-oriented.

Others, I got nothing.

Rainbow Dash is exactly what Sonic the Hedgehog would be like if he was a young girl. And a horse. With wings. And had a rainbow lightning bolt on his rear. Other than that though it's a perfect match. So the question becomes; if Sonic was a Disney Princcess, which Disney Princess would he be?

I love how the fandom is starting to use the word "plot" to refer to the butts of characters. It's even a tag on Ponibooru! XD

I've been thinking: What kind of names could this show get away with? I was thinking something like Midnight Fun or Hind Shaker. I doubt a black pony named "Nicker" would work, though.

They did do the "Everything You Wanted To Know About Sleepovers But Were Afraid To Ask" thing in "Look Where You Sleep". I think a name like "Nightlife" might work, or even Pony Model 23B7A

There's a famous book I think from the late 60's titled Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex (But Were Afraid to Ask). There's also a Woody Allen film with the same title.

@sand: The Nicker joke doesn't seem like the kind of thing that they would go for, especially considering the show was criticized for racism once already, but I think they might be able to get way with midnight fun - which would probably make my week, honestly.

Really, though, when you think about it how many ponies outside of the Mane six have cannon names? So far I think we have (aside from applejack's extended family, of course, ) Big Mac, Braeburn, Photo Finish, Hoity Toity, and Trixie...as far as I can remember, that's about it. Only ponies that have had important roles in episodes so far. So, where would midnight fun have an opportunity to come in? Unless she was like, introduced as a dark Pinkie Pie or something, throwing parties that are a tad too wild...
