They've done a great job giving all the Mane Cast realistic flaws and insecurities. Twilight's paranoid, AJ's stubborn, Dash is a jerk with anxiety attacks, Rarity's a perfectionist, Fluttershy's, well, shy, and Pinkie is just... Pinkie. Okay, so Pinkie doesn't seem to have a big character flaw right now, but there's not a whole lot Sue-ish about her.

I find Pinkie is the closest thing to a Sue. She's never very wrong, and her behaviour is never called out on. I actually sort of hated her at first, but she grew on me a bit.

I'd disagree with Pinkie not having flaws. After all, if she had just stopped to communicate with her friends during Swarm, things would have been easier. But because she was "being Pinkie Pie" (that is immaturely expecting everyone to just believe in her) The other ponies couldn't help her.
She even said as much at the end of the episode. Something about "thank you for understanding me wven when I don't understand me". I dunno..I'll go get that quote.

The trouble with that one I found was that the lesson was "Pinkie was right! We should have listened to her!"
For some reason, she kind of redeemed herself for me when she helped Applebloom make cupcakes and invited Spike to be her co-announcer.

but yeah, they should have. she still says though "even when I don't understand me". And the lesson wasn't pinkie pie i always right, it was "Sometimes you can gain new perspectives on a problem when you listen to your friends.
