Oh yes, this again!
I
love the idea of a rival town featuring a simialr squad to the mane cast!
Sundown Twinkle, Pearsmith, etc.

I'm not sure if I'd like a whole movie where most of the characters are jerks. It was amusing at first, but it would get grating. I'm mostly looking forward to future episodes because I like the ponies in character. Although if they made a movie, maybe the CMC could help save the elements of harmony and have hero moments. If my theory that children can't be corrupted works.
In olden days, before the X Factor, villages would play 'football' with otherother using a pig's bladder. The pitch was all the space between the two towns, and the rules were, get the ball to the others village.
And there's a village in England which hoasts an annual 'chase a cheese wheel down a hill' competition.
Maybe Ponyville competes against another town in a game of 'pass the cheese' or something?

They wouldn't have the elements. They'd rescue Twilight and the others.
@ brony99
Seeing the parents would be pretty funny. Especially if they're foils to their children.

Fluttershy's father should be a manly Gaston type.

Who's that? But I agree with the manly part.

Dude. John Di Maggio is in so many things these days, it's practically a requirement to cast him.
Rarity's parents should be into extreme sports and not really understand all this frilly stuff. But they love her anyway.
