...Los Pegasus is far west. Chrysalis was sent flying in the direction of the badlands. Apparently there's a Galloping Gorge Northwest of Ponyville.

My fic has Scootaloo's inability to fly be a medical condition, and her parentage is a large plot point not due to any particular weirdness, but due to Cosmic Retcon.

Well, as I said, I could see similarities between the two story lines. I didn't mean to imply they'd be exactly the same. Regarding the ap, the only way iit could be cooler if it had a legend on there to tell us how to measure distances.

Holy cow, that map is amazing!
So much canon! The Crystal Kingdom appears to be in the Frozen North, and the Griffin homeland is overseas. Not to mention all of these names for places we've never even heard of!
@Drenius The map has a "not to scale" disclaimer on it, so the distances aren't exactly canon.

Studying the map, Equestria looks to be modeled heavily after the US, with Canterlot in the middle. Also Griffon home continent is Eastwards like Europe and Dragons are Southeasterly.
San Palomino Desert, Vanhoover, hah. Also Dodge and Appleloosa look to be not too far from each other.
