@ JT: If she encourages it then yes she'd be at fault but all the plot idea said was that Rainbow does something, then Scootaloo tries to do it and Rainbow is at fault for it.
Tealove is best pony.

@Bad There's a difference between being at fault and not being responsible. She may not have been at fault, but she could have prevented it.
Ooh so sort of a Tower of Babel type mythology but instead of the languages getting scrambled the tribes got scrambled and they learned to coexist rather than be separated?
@Bad Spike didn't exactly suffer that much there, and the moment he was in danger she was there to protect him. Not exactly the best example.
@Badwolf: When I posted the initial idea, it was that "RD does something to impress Scootaloo, who then imitates it". The idea being that she does something with the specific intent of making Scootaloo think she's cool. She already knows that Scoots idolizes her, so it isn't a big leap for her to think that if she does something awesome, Scootaloo might make an attempt.
Ooh, I like that last one. RD is totally cool with it, and then she realizes that she can't just try to be awesome to Scoots all the time and has to put her hoof down.
I would not be surprised at all if Scoot's parents are an Earth Pony and Unicorn and she doesn't have parental guidance on learning how to fly yet.
It's my personal fanon and will stay as such until canon disproves it :V
Yea Ive thought that about scoots too. That maybe her parents werent able to fly at all because of their tribe and she just has no guidance at all.
@Ace: Thanks. Also, why the crap is it sideways? I turned it upright before I uploaded it. Arg.
Hmm.. An episode where Dashie would actually have to be a role model for Scoots rather than an idol, would be pretty cool. I definitely welcome any characterization of those characters. Lord also knows that Dashie needs to realize she has to be serious sometimes. Though in some ways I could see it as a bit of a rehash of the lessons Pinkie learned in the episode with the Cake siblings.
