also, AJ's and Spike's relationship hasn't been defined all that well. the longest she's talked to Spike is when she chewed him out for what she thought was him not liking the Main Six's group hug in "the Ticket Master".

@gingerninja 666, the CMC are friends, it's said quite clearly in "Cal of the Cutie". their quest is an repression of their friendship. if one gets their mark before the other two, it would probably result in a temporary resentment towards the marked Crusader but ultimately, they'd all realize they're still friends.

I think in general the ponies think of him as the cute little brother type. I do wonder why Fluttershy was the only one who reacted to him when he and Twilight first appeared. Yeah, she's the animal nut, but surely someone would say "Woah a dragon! Never seen that before."

I'm joking. Yeah, I don't want to see Spike end up with any of the main cast, he's way too young for that. The only Spike ship I'd really support is Spike/Applebloom.

@ginger They are focused on cutie mark thing but their friendship is deeper than that.

Thanks to that pony who linked that YT clip, now I can't stop watching those MLPFIM clips.

They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.

I don't think there needs to be romance in this show at all. It would be nice to have a girls' show without it. Rarity and Blueblood don't count. Neither do Rarity and Tom.

also, I can see AJ wanting a coltfriend at some level. what her stands are is anyone's guess though it may not be that hard to pin down. I don't think either AJ or Rainbow would rule out romance for the rest of their lives.

I certainly don't need any romance on the show itself. I like the occasional bit of shippy fanwork, but I agree that we don't need any of that on the actual show.

I'm rewatching episodes (for some reason) and I have two questions:

1.) Why does Twilight have a frilly princess-like dress in her Library?

2.) Other than it being a plot point in "Dangerous Business" can rarity teleport? Because she certainly seems to be able to teleport clothing

again, I don't think coltfriends/fillyfriends are out of the question. the occasional showing of it wouldn't be bad. I can even see AJ and Rainbow falling for somepony. with Rainbow, it'd probably be a male member of the Wondrbolts. maybe this is because he's the only male member with a speaking role but I'd guess Sorin'.
