The two biggest things I plan to add to the list on the page are that Twi herself consults Pinkie in return in It's About Time, and her Sherlock/Watson duet with Pinkie in MMM Mystery. They even take turns to roleplay

@Lurker: Ronery Lomantics read a lot into close friendships, but the Sherlock/Watson roleplay definitely fits, given that detective/sidekick duo has a ton of Ho Yay in itself :P

My biggest problem with that episode was that Rainbow raised a perfectly good question that was never adequately resolved: what does it matter how good the Apples' cider is to the ponies who never get any? Yeah, the issue was resolved in that the competition generated enough cider for the day, but that hardly solves the issue long-term.

They could have probably even made a partnership with F&F work if they'd tried: the demand for their product is obviously great enough that the massive increase in volume of sales could make up for the brothers' cut, especially if they could negotiate a better profit split, and they could still sell their hoof-made cider as the specialty label, probably for more per cup.

It's still one of my favorite episodes, but that just bugs me every time.

@Wryte I'd like to think they have a mock competition now, just for the sake of productivity. The Mane 5 vs the Apple family.

@Ace IAB doesn't work, considering that it was Spike who took Twilight to see Pinkie, and Twilight didn't even know that Pinkie had set up her little Gypsy tent.

Yeah, even despite the possibility of profit, people tend to not do business with someone they don't trust.

@Ace: Well yes, but that's beside the point. My point is just that they never adequately dealt with the fact that the Apples can't meet Ponyville's cider demands, and there are some obvious solutions readily available that are never explored. For a few:

• Restrict sales per customer. If they know they're not going to have enough for everypony, why are they letting Pinkie but up half their stock at the very start of the day?
• Hire extra help for the season. If only 5 more workers are enough to meet demands, it should be easy to find a few ponies willing to work for cheap. Heck, they could probably even be paid in cider.
• Spend a week or so building up a stock before opening sales on the cider so they at least have enough to meet the initial demands.

@Lurker: It's silly shipping logic, it doesn't make common sense Personally I'm just amusing myself with the silliness sometimes.

Besides, for me I ship all the Mane Six together in an OT6

@joey Just this thread, and the MLP one in Yack Fest since the mods told us to stop derailing. I used to go to the Legend of Korra thread, but it's pretty dead since the season ended.

I support any and all fanon that leads to sloppy lesbian makeouts.
