I think the analogy fails in that cutie marks are very interpretative. Two ponies can have the same symbol, but still have different meanings. I think?

Bu I don't. We've never had two ponies with the same cutie mark say that their cutie markshave different meanings. There is evidence that Twilight's cutie mark is literally the symbol for magic from the pilot. And we've seen ponies writing with symbols before (which I think is a writing system based on a simplified cutie mark system).

Cheerilee didn't actually comment on whether having the same Cutie Mark meant the same thing for multiple ponies.

Twilight and Photo Finish both saw the thing that they're best at as "magic" so hey got a cutie mark that means "magic". They apply their talent differently, but their cutie mark still means the same thing.

If I think programming is magic, does that mean I'd get the same CM?

I think we actually have speculated on the idea of Dash getting the Flight School equivalent of a GED. I think it could work.

I think that story arc has potential, but I'd probably prefer if the "Stay in school, kids!" aesop were implicit rather than "Dear Princess Celestia, Today I learned that dropping out of flight school was a really bad idea." Rather, have RD taking her GED and the other ponies supporting her, and they learn some other lesson over the course of the episode.

So can we get the FULL REVELATION cranking?

Something else that brothers me is that legally Applejack wouldn't of be able to just going back into business after flim and flam skipped town, it's no longer her property.
