I think it would be simpler to move this to Yack Fest if that's fine with the mods.

It might be "easier" for people already here, but it would be completely unintuitive for any new users. There are already plenty of threads in Yack Fest for just socializing. Heck, there's already a MLP:FIM thread in Yack Fest; it would make more sense to turn that into the "socializing (and also ponies)" thread.

But they might also get confused by the fact that the thread is 10, 000 pages of chatting folloewd by strictly on topic discussion. Why can't this thread be switched with the one in Yack Fest that is shorter and more on topic?

If anyone has a personal thing or derail they really want to get out there, I'd recommend just putting it in the Yack Fest thread, and directing people there. We should keep this thread for stuff relating to the show (discussion of episodes, upcoming stuff, etc.)

@story We could put up an obelisk: "Look upon my derails, ye mighty, and despair."

@Story: Because the vast majority of new users don't read the majority of the thread. They just start reading where they enter the discussion. Anyway, the mods have repeatedly said they aren't going to move it. Don't press the issue; we're on thin ice as is.

You know, we never really did discus how unicorns and pegasi would factor into hybridization. We know that mules exist, so hybrids are possible, but with the wonky way pony genetics work, it could apply to a hybrid in any number of ways. Any ideas?
