@AHR and Mousa: I realize that it's detailed and that this is totally YMMV, but I honestly find the artstyle tolerable at best. Most of the time I just sort of deal with it, and there are some points that I honestly find almost painful to look at. Which annoys me, because I feel like if it wasn't for that I'd really enjoy it.

Since we're talking about powers and Badass normal's, here's this journal.

Ugh, yeah, I hate how every hero these days has some hidden ancestry or secret past or whatever. That's why I eschew them. The guy I was talking about before, Dornen, is just a soldier for most of the story, albeit part of an elite company. The evil power mainly serves to make him a target for an enemy that wants to take the power from him for selfish ends, while Dornen's refusal to actually use the power is what sets him apart.

At the same time, the other main character to come out of the same unit, Corban, remains a normal guy forever. His claims to eventual greatness are leadership, loyalty, and tactical ingenuity.

you know, it gets kinda confusing thread archiving when I flipping back and forth between current thread and past thread, especially when the topics being discussed happen to overlap.

like there's another ginger caused AJ discussion in past thread, and someone brings up a human!AJ pic that was "very good...and naughty", and I thought "Oh, they must be talking about that AppleRack pic!"

then I realized the applerack pic was posted last night in current thread.
