@Story, JT It has dozens of novels and comics explaining backstory, and every single piece of flavor text on cards is canon, unless it's one of the quotes from classical literature in the older sets. That's nearly 20 years worth of canon at this point.

I only really paid attention to stuff that was either directly related to or immediately followed The Brother's War. Well, that and a bit of the Weatherlight cycle.

I wonder how Rarity would be as a little sister.

Probably really difficult. Extremely selfish, whiny, and demanding. Basically, she'd have not grown into the niceties that offset her flaws yet. So she probably wouldn't be a very good protagonist.

Little Applejack would be entertaining. I see her as serious before her time, sort of a wise child that nevertheless gets treated as a little kid (since she is one).

Rainbow... would be mostly the same.

@JT: That would be intreasting. I bet in that AU, Luna was the one who banished Celestia to the moon. It kinda screws up a bunch of stuff, but whatever. Makes me wonder what that universe's version of Discord and Chrysalis are like.

Either you two are randomly up late or like me, were watching the Olympic opening ceremonies.

Also, damn NBC for the delay and not airing it live and damn Britain for not having a Doctor Who reference in there, but hot damn that was awesome! It was so amazing! I absolutely loved it!

I have been in various states of "AMAZING" "Depressed" and "WHAT HAVE I DONE!?"

@Mousa: True, but it would be a bit boring to have her just be a carbon copy of her sister. I see her as more of a foil for the other two.

Also, I watched the opening ceremony, and the bit with Rowan Atkinson was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

The reason I see lil AJ as a serious filly is from her Cutie Mark story. She basically went on a journey of discovery as a preteen. Not your average worry for a kid.

I just realized TODAY that the olympics were happening. I guess because I don't care.

It's probably streaming online somewhere.

@J Teeth Also very true, perhaps she wasn't as impulsive as Applebloom but she has the sort of gung-ho stubborn attitude that would get her into scrapes. She'd be practical sure but there'd be issues.

And then I came to the sudden realization I jumped into this conversation without context but if I were to hazard I guess I would say you all are trying to figure out a CMC that has RD, Rarity, and AJ.

I don't give two cents about sports, but dude, that opening Ceremony was beautiful in so many ways, if I was capable of any more emotion I would've cried, I could feel it in my throat! I mean it was an awesomegasm of Britishisms! Even if you don't care for the Olympics, fin a way to see that gorram ceremony!
