All I know about magic is a few cards people have mentioned which are funny or notorious. I know nothing about the actual strategy.

I don't think there's such a thing as "the" actual strategy. There's so many different ways to win the game, and they're all effective in their own ways. (My personal favorite is death by milling.)

My personal favorite is death by everyone else forfeiting after your Schereazade/Hive Mind combo in a 10 player game.

@JT: It's basiclly an alternate universe where Applebloom is AJ's older sister, Sweetie Belle is Rarity's older sister, and RD idolizes Scootaloo. Not the backstory for AJ, RD and Rarity.
