Thanks. I had noticed that it was a substitution cypher (many of the letters rather look like its English equivalents, by the way) but I did not bother to try to translate the text. Maybe later.

About human unicorns: perhaps they should just have extra long noses?

Eh, I think that they can be pulled off well. The overly fanservicey seem a little iffy to me, though — I mean, come on, Applejack is a farmer, she's not going to use that sort of skimpy and unpractical clothing...

Good for him, if that's what he likes! Me, I like academia better — the pay is not as good, but being paid to study things you'd want to study anyway is pretty much perfection made job.

This reminds me, I might have found a workaround at the problem in my proof I found yesterday. Time to check if that works or is another dead end!

@DC: I pretty much threw a party in my hard drive when I found out Office 2007 ditched Clippy. Always trying to offer "help" with my homework, and it's all irrelevant to the document at hand. You can keep him.

Wow. People agreeing with me on Arbu! I keep seeing comments about how she was wrong to feel guilty about that which confused me.

On humanisations: I'm not asking people to like them and I agree that it would feel out of place in canon, but I'm saying that liking ponyfications and not humanisations is an odd Double Standard.

@Sereg I do not like humanizations in the slightest. It's not because I think that they're wrong, though. They just really creep me out for personal reasons.

Incidentally, Arbu was where I stopped reading FOE, if only because I knew exactly where it was going with it, and the incoming combination of preaching and angst was enough motivation to stop reading.
