So episode 11...I got nothing. It was good as slice of life plots go.

Good as gas? @_@ Is this some sort of European slang I've never heard before or something?

Anyway, you're still not really giving us any indication of whether you think these episodes are good/bad/meh/horrible, etc.

@van You didn't really express any opinions on the previous episode either. You must like something here, considering that you've almost watched half a season of it already. tongue

Hey story, I saw a video of your game Pickory, and I noticed that your equivalent of The Kid wears a pimp hat and owns a mansion. Swag points right there.

I've had more dreams about this thread than I have about ponies.

I always thought I was alone in this.

I don't think so, but it should be.

I don't see any serious stuff. You guys see any serious stuff?

Oh, and pay no attention to that rolled-up rug. It's broken.

@Lurker: They are good. So better then others, but nothing to makes it stand out. They are really good character pieces...when the moral isn't getting in the way. I didn't even know their would be a moral ep in ep 11 so I felt tacked on. I think it would be better as a whole with out the "today I learned X" bit at the end. Let the episode speak for its self instead of telling us war it was suppose to teach us (Show don't tell).

Can we compromise and say its Moeprise?

Speaking of which, Moeprise just posted a segment of a new story he's working on. He wants comments. Right after I sell him for bits.

I'll give you three guesses what kinds of trees we had a lot of, and two of them don't count.

Uh, teak, mahogany, and balsa?

@van The letters at the end are a result of the E/I rating the show had in its first season. It was more or less forced to spell things out like that. It starts mixing things up a bit in the second season, though it doesn't do away with the letters entirely. I do agree that the letters are usually my least favorite part of the show when they're played perfectly straight. The fact that they're so routine and somewhat forced actually gets lampooned in an early fan-favorite season 2 episode.

@Vanthebaron: I kind of agree. I don't think MLP does anything revolutionary, it's just a good cartoon with above average writing and excellent characters. I agree that the morals just get in the way much of the time, but since the show no longer has the IE designation I have hopes that that will change. It has already in season 2, though not to the extent that I'd hoped.

gotta give us more detail then that, I mean come on hearing a new persons thoughts after the first time they watch an episode is the BEST thing in this thread.

[up] the morals are fine, great even in some instances. Though yeah there are some episodes that it gets shoehorned in awkwardly, but more most it just feels right and natural to the plot.

Wait, episode 11 was Winter Wrap Up and you didn't even mention the song? I hate musicals, and it still won me over!

Next episode...rise of the CMC. That should spark some kind of response at least.

It was I/E, that explains so much.

I dunno. I felt the moral in Suited for Success was one well needed.

Just saw ep 10 "MLP's Gremlins"

Odd. People compare it to tribbles all the time, but I've never seen anyone compare it to Gremlins before.

Are we sure the morals are because of the e/i thing? What if its the other way around?

Then I'm gonna take a wild guess and say this show was not meant for you.
