Huh, actually, that gives me an interesting theory about the beginning of Season 3. Lesson Zero was the first real episode of Season 2 (ROH was originally intended to be a season finale), and it did a lot to mix up the general formula of the "letter a week" framing device for the rest of the season. What if the test Twilight has to take in the season opener is a graduation exam of some sort, and passing means that she is no longer required to send letters to Celestia at all. It would be a logical way to phase out that particular device and allow the morals to be displayed more organically all the time like they were in some of the CMC episodes.
I'm pretty sure I could learn to draw if I put the time in, thing is that 1. I don't really have a whole lot of time to put into learning to draw and 2. I have more of an affinity for both writing and music, and I'd rather play to my strengths and dedicate my time to polishing up those skills rather than trying to learn something totally new.
Replace writing and music with programming and that's me.

-Hugs Pipsqueak- So how you been, you little fluffernutter?

@Vanthebaron: Well as I already said I hate musicals. Despise them, usually. There are a number of songs in the show that I also do not care for in the slightest, but several others actually managed to win me over despite my bias. So I suggest you give them a try, you might be surprised.
So, little Pip, you're a pirate right? What exactly are you doing in Ponyville then, isn't it a landlocked town? You need to be by the sea to do any piracy!
Hey story, I saw a video of your game Pickory, and I noticed that your equivalent of The Kid wears a pimp hat and owns a mansion. Swag points right there.
Aww, I was hoping you'd actually played it. Oh well, I'm glad you like it anyway.

@AHR: musicals and I have an agreement, I don't watch them, they leave my alone.
Van: You realize that music only becomes more prominent in the episodes as time goes on, right?
I normally don't like musicals either, but there are a few I've liked. Like

Actually, there are lakes and rivers near Ponyville, aren't there? He can be a river pirate! :D

I can be a land pirate if I want. I just have to be more imaginative.

Also, I don't have to worry about sharks.

@Pip: Just don't go near the desert. Sand sharks are a thing.
Or he could be a sky pirate.
Airships are totally canon.
Or an internet pirate!

Or you could end up journeying with those flying robe people in the desert.

Agreed, the music in this show is incredible, there has not been a bad song yet. And no the E/I bug had nothing to do with morals at all, but it did limit what the writers could do, as seen by season 2 when it was gone.
Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.
