I'm a Mac user. I would probably not be working at this point of my career of it weren't for Apple. He did so much for us, and knowing that just makes me sadder.

I've never really seen the appeal of Macs. Apparently, it's just that everything is customized to work well together out of the box.

Sure, but I'm a graphic artist and know a bit of web tech, which is one of the people Apple is designed for. Also, I don't play computer games.

eeeeh... I know Mac's are good for some people, but almost any time I've worked with them I've had issues. I'd only touch them fro developing for iPhones and stuff.

Still though, it's a shame.

Basically, I think Macs are awesome at what they're designed for (media editing type stuff), but for more general use I think they're less useful. I use my computer for so much different stuff that I'd have to dual-boot if I had a Mac. That and I just don't have the money for one.

Oh right, and there's the money.... thing.

This is why I don't completely understand my parent's decision to make their (and by extension my) home a Mac home. I have two younger brothers who are both considering going to the same college I currently attend, and let me tell you...

Sad now.... My switch to non-creator Ponies seems pointless. FIM just opted to get rid of all Pony O Cs (a fer weeks after having a contest for an OC design no less). Their logic "The group FIM needs to live up to it's name". What!? Making O Cs in the same universe doesn't qualify as FIM related?

Aw, crap, I missed the 1, 000 page party.

And I'll just mention that I work for a company that builds internet solutions for Fortune 100 companies, and everyone gets a choice of whatever computer they need to do their job. needless to say, Macs outnumber Windows by 4-to-1, if not more. The idea that Macs are only good for graphics stuff is laughable...

I quit the group in protest and I hope that every OC artist in that group does the same. "There's other OC only groups." There's also groups for canon only, and most OC groups aren't that picky.

Macs are awesome... for running Windows, or so they tell me.

I honestly have no idea which is better. Everywhere I go they seem to use Macs for video editing though, so I'll probably need to get used to them at some point

Surely talking about computers is more fun?

I'm using a macbook, after having used a PC for a good deal of time. I honestly like both, but this thing runs faster than the horribly cluttered PC I used to use, and there are some subtler things that I like about it. Like the ease of searching the whole of my hard drive, and the fact that Force Quit actually does its job every time I use it.

However, I'm gonna get Boot Camp running, because so many things just refuse to work on anything other than Windows software. Of course, none of those things are things I need for my schoolwork, so it's all recreational stuff like games and... well, just games.

And who is purging O Cs? Which backronym of "FIM" are we using, here? The show itself never used them, right? And I don't think Fighting Is Magic did either.

I can honestly say that I have the same opinion about that link as I do about your posts in general.

I don't know about tens of thousands, but even with the shorter auction time, given the current bid (US$400.50 with less than a day spent on auction), her price may just end up rivaling life size Dashie's.
