My main problem was that it was a retread of "Lesson Zero, " it completed the flanderization of Twilight into an OCD crazy pony, and it felt like the writers cared more about Pinkie than Twilight.

So what's your guys' story?

I liked It's About Time. Despite it's flaws, I find it quite underrated. Alot better then Ponyvile Conf-*Shot*

@Moe: Yeah, it's one of those cases where I feel like I should dislike it, but I was too entertained. I still think it's more Character Exaggeration than Flanderization (if it was, Twilight would be like that all the time) but let's not have that discussion again.

Perpetual Lurker: Yes, I mean straight. The up and down keys are only used to aim straight up/down, and you can freely press them while moving left/right to move some types of d-pads might make it work, but I'd imagine that being able consistently press two directions at once with an analog stick would be tough. Not to mention that effective use of the Booster 2.0 requires a lot more precision button presses than a normal controller would allow.

I beat the game and killed Ballos with a d-pad controller. I'm much better at using my thumbs to play games than using my other fingers—although I did configure my game pad so the index finger trigger button fired the guns.

EDIT: And I love Time Travel stories, so I couldn't dislike "It's About Time" if I tried.

Yeah, usually like episodes for subverted expectations, really good songs, or just general heightened drama, which eclipses most of those preferred episodes.

I wish Green isn't your color was rewritten just a teensy bit, eliminate Twilight, Pinkie and just focus on the interactions (and the lack thereof) between Rarity and Fluttershy and the episode would have been god tier for me.

That too, but mostly because the plot was too predictable and didn't resolve the time travel stuff particularly well.

I do agree they should have focused more on Rarity and Fluttershy, but Twilight's attempt at sabotaging the fashion show was too funny for me to want her excised completely.

@Moe As JT said, in order for IAT to have flanderized anything, the "changes" (which there weren't any, IMO) would have had to to have stuck. Really, though, Twilight's been neurotic since Episode One, and I know her pain when it comes to scheduling, so I don't consider that over the top at all. It all fit quite well to me.

Oh yeah, I enjoyed Green isn't your color, but solely for the Pinkie Pie gag. Not enough for me to really like the episode though.
