I've always been the other way around. Paying so much for a seperate console and marked up games never appealed to me.

@pannic: Yeah, my fics where they make people cry are very much a result of my kick-the-audience-in-the-balls approach to emotion; that is to say putting the characters through the heaviest trauma I can imagine and showing it is simple enough terms most can relate back to it. Case in point...

eeeeeexcellent Chapter 9 is basically the head of a combination of PTSD and a loss of self-worth. It's much sharper and more direct that yours.

So this game (Bastion) is reminding me of the Souls series and Legend of Mana a lot. This is definitely a good thing. The controls are taking a little getting used to, having the shield button accessible via my pinkie is not something I find especially natural...
