I got to agree with JT. The CM Cs are pretty similar to each other. There's some slight variation, but nowhere near the mane 6s level.

The CMC got five episodes. Applejack got two.

I think the problem with AJ's exposure is that her character lends itself so much better to moral support than a leading role. She's the most mature of the cast, and has the least to learn. Heck, the whole point of one of her focus episodes was that she was right all along, and had indeed learned from past mistakes. Her development comes more from her interactions with her family and how important that is to her than through her own experiences. She gets less focus because she needs less of it.

AJ has only had 4 episodes in the entire show, and two of those were shared with Rarity and RD retrospectivly, and one was more of a mane 6 episode, even thought it was a great one {Last Round-up}. She seriously needs more episodes.

@Perpetual Lurker: Personally I'd love it if there were more episodes focused on characters playing to their strengths and doing things right than episodes where their flaws are exaggerated so they can learn a lesson at the end.

Applejack's Episodes in season two:

The Last Roundup, which is about Applejack's humiliating failure to even win a single gold medal the one time it really mattered.

The Iron Pony competition, which is about Applejack's humiliating failure to beat Rainbow Dash at athletics.

AJ has least episodes but is still one of the more developed characters I think. CMC keep getting episodes but they really arent defined very well by them.

@marston What about The Last Roundup and Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000?

Iron Pony Competition was in Running of the Leaves which was series 1.

And she did win one in four events.

And Applebuck Season.

Speaking of the Iron Pony Competition...AJ would have won a few more if Dash didn't deploy the wings. The long jump for example.

@ATC Fall Weather Friends was Season One, where AJ got the most exposure out of anyone not Twilight. Her other Season Two episode was the Cider one.

And again, she gets less focus because she doesn't need it.

@Crow:Okay, I forgot about those. Except "The Last Round-up" was more of a mane 6 episode overall {Still a good one though}. And I have no idea how I forgot about the other episode you mentioned.tongue

The Iron Pony competition, which is about Applejack's humiliating failure to beat Rainbow Dash at athletics.

They basically broke even until Rainbow started "cheating." Then they were dead even in the race.

Also, Applebuck Season was basically all about how incredibly awesome AJ is and how everypony loves and respects her.

@ATC, but AJ has also been in like 95% of the episodes., thus why I asked for numbers.

Placing in every event you compete it isn't a "humiliating failure" to anyone except Applejack.

Rainbow didn't cheat. There were no rules on the usage of wings and the referee chosen to keep things fair raised no objections.

@ Applelight: And if Dash didn't cruelly trick Apple Jack into opening her mouth on the tug-of-war.

Dash cheated, but that's okay because AJ deserves to lose for being arrogant enough to assert that she, who spends her life bucking trees and pulling weights, is stronger than Dash, who spends her life flying.

[up][up] Any perfectionist can tell you that that is a humiliating failure.

Yes, it sure was humiliating for her to win more medals overall than anyone else. The problem was that she didn't want the others to be disappointed that she didn't get the money for the town.

It's kind of bizarre that 2nd and 3rd place awarded medals but no cash prize.

In Running of the Leaves, I dont know how RD didnt think that using her wings as cheating (or at least she should have understood why AJ protested when she did use em). It was an obvious advantage over AJ who didnt have em.

It'd be like playing Ping pong against a guy with no arms.. and braggin that you beat him.
