I enjoy most things in South Park that isn't toilet humor. Mostly because it never really takes itself seriously. It's just so hyperbolic and silly.

Speaking of South Park, how about that musical they wrote with the guy from Avenue Q?

@Passive-aggressive: Not taking yourself seriously doesn't excuse being inflammatory, obscene, or offensive. It's like hurting somepony's feelings and then telling whoever your hurt to grow a thicker skin because you were just having fun and didn't really mean to hurt them.

But ah dahgrass.

Is Javert a baritone or a bass?

[up][up] Oh, the musical that mocked my religion, blatantly insulted my religion's values, and set religious tolerance back ten years? That musical?

Javert is usually classed as a baritone, but honestly I think he's a bass-baritone. He's got a bunch of high fs and an f-sharp. But in "The Confrontation" he goes down to a low F, which is really in the bass register. So yeah, I'd put him as a bass-baritone.

Actually with South Park when it comes to Acceptable Targets they tend to treat them a lot more positively than you'd expect, for sake of avoiding expectations. I could see them doing the same thing with bronies, or just blasting them for the whole episode. Whichever they think would be funnier, really, that's all they care about.

You know what would be terrible? A mlp fim movie written and directed by Uwe Boll. Look him up if you don't know who he is.

If South Park does do a brony episode, I think it would be quite funny if they ripped us to shreds.
The Eleventh Doctor is cool.

That's one way of putting it. Another way of putting it is "the most pro-faith show on Broadway in years and a surprisingly heartwarming story about how religion can be a powerful force for good in the world."

@ATC Were you referring to me when you said "passive-aggressive?" I'm not trying to be, if you think I am. I just think that it's possible to laugh at something but still think that it's a serious issue in real life.

I'm not liking where this conversation is going.
Are you a bad enough dude to argue with waz? (your chances are better than you think, anyone can "win" if they use enough fallacies)

What Pannic said. It's a lot like the South Park episode on Mormonism, which really just makes you feel like shit for making fun of Mormons.

Like many other things, ponies are something I would LOVE too see South Park tear a new one!

Well, not if it'd just be a retread of "Chinpokomon."

Or "manatee jokes".

They'd need to do something new with it.

Except you'd think that a show to promote tolerance and show how religion can be a powerful force for good would at least try to be not-directly-antithetical to the culture, views, and values of that religion?

@ Lurker: No, I'm referring to AHR there.

Well, I watched book of mormon. What part seemed that way to you? There were a few jokes, but there were also a few jokes directed towards the Africans as well. I don't recall any part implying mormonism sucked.

I haven't seen the musical, but I have the cast album.

And wrote a (sort of) crossover fanfic with it.

This isn't a religious debate. It's a debate on South Park. If you're gonna tell people to get back on topic, at least tell people to get off the actual topic they're debating.
