The fans in the yack feast thread don't really complain all that much either. If anything, I've seen more complaining here then in the YF thread, thought it's toned down quite a bit. Still pops up occusionally.
Though I kinda wish that I was on this thread when the rumors of a South park brony episode were going on.

Idiocy and impatience mostly, and because MLP fans in the right column didn't want to venture into the other columns.
Old habits really, some of us have a section and stick to it with little crossover.
Example, I rarely see Dragon Quest Z, Shimaspawn, or ccoa outside of the Trope Repair shop.

Yeah, my section used to be IJBM, and after it went under, I was kind of drifting throughout the forums until this thread came along.

Mine was IJBM too, then I branched out and did a little bit of everything and then somehow took permanent residence in this thread with the occasional venturing into webcomics and Doctor Who.

Dalek: IIRC, it just started that way because two different people threw up threads in two different areas. There was a point at which we attempted to meld the two threads together, but people were resistant to the idea, so they just stayed as they were. I used to follow both back when the fandom was smaller, but stopped following the Yackfest thread in favour of the Western Animation one because Yackfest stopped getting traffic for a while, so I unwatched it.

As for DMOS all each entry means is that someone didn't like it. Every other person on the fandom could very well have it as a favorite. I tend to ignore DMOS for the most part.

That's reason why I few times focused on Yacht Fest.
And fact that only people liking Freespace are there.
