Can't argue with that.

Though Rainbow Dash is just a bit cooler. By about 20% or so.

I got all of four episodes in today.

Namely, Bird in the Hoof, Cutie Mark Chronicles, Suited For Success, and Feeling Pinkie Keen, in that order.

Of the four, Bird in the Hoof was the one I liked best (in fact, I appear to have watched them in descending order of my preference).

I guess a lot of people did due to what many consider to be a Broken Aesop. I tried not to mind it much, and it's generally an enjoyable episode.

I like it for a number of reasons.

For one, Pinkie is hilarious.

For another, Insane Twilight is Best Twilight.

I liked it, though the moral struck me as a little strange.

I think the episode might have made more sense to me if Pinkie hadn't been right all the time. That made Twilight look like she was in denial.

Hey did anyone notice the pony that asked Twilight if she was okay in the most recent episode is the same one that pushed the cart into the entrance exam room? I think his fan name is Cherry Cola. I find it odd, mainly because I'm not sure if it was intentional on the part of the producers/animators or not.

It's pretty much bound to happen when you re-use assets in a series. I think Romana (filly with hourglass cutie mark) was one of the three ponies that asked Twilight to come to a party at the beginning of the first episode, for example.

i am late, but ISTP.

So... Spike?

Yay...?

I like the definition the chart gives, but I think it might be a bit of a stretch to apply it to him.

So, I've heard rumors that the series runs in Anachronic Order, but I decided to try to find and pinpoint actual proof of this.

Before that, a quick categorization of the proof presented in this post.

  • Type I — Strong Evidence
    • Plot points and other details that provide evidence beyond reasonable doubt of the chronological order of the given episodes.
  • Type II — Moderate Evidence
    • Background details. In certain cases, it may also be accounted for by animation error, or the production staff using shortcuts.
  • Type III — Conjecture
    • Details that suggest a certain order, but have little to no solid, watertight evidence.

  • EP01 (MitM) —> EP02 (EoH) —> everything else [Type I]
    • It's the episodes where Twilight Sparkle meets everyone else, and moves into Ponyville. The only things that could have come before this are all the cutie mark stories in EP23.
  • EP03 (TTM) —> EP14 (SfS) [Type III]
    • In Suited for Success, Rarity makes everyone their gala dresses. But we don't know for sure if they're the same gala, or else this would be a Type I.
  • EP07 (Dragonshy) —> EP15 (FPK) [Type I]
    • Fluttershy uses Pinkie Pie's "hop, skip, and jump" technique to escape the hydra.
  • EP09 (BG) —> EP10 (SotC) [Type I]
    • Zecora introduced to the other ponies in EP09.
  • EP12 (CotC) —> EP17 (SM), EP18 (SS), EP23 (TCMC) [Type I]
    • The Cute Mark Crusaders form in EP12.
  • EP14 (SfS) —> EP20 (GIYC), EP22 (ABitH) [Type II]
    • The gala dresses appear on Rarity's and Fluttershy's clothes racks, respectively. In EP22, Rarity is wearing hers.

I'm not very good at spotting (or recalling) random details, so I quite expect to be missing a few things. In particular, if there is evidence of the episodes not being in chronological order (i.e. a later episode actually happening before an earlier one), I'd love to hear them.

Taking a children's show way too seriously... check.

I got Princess Celestia.

But I don't set much store by enneagram tests, since my results aren't always the same.

Bobby, that's an MBTI test. Enneagram is the one with the numbers from 1 to 9, remember?

But yeah, I'm not always the same set of letters.
