So am I the only one hoping that the series goes more into detail regarding Twilight's MASSIVE power? I mean, we can already see they're headed for something, even pulling a pretty blatant Xavier/Phoenix plot device. That would be pretty interesting, especially if they start involving some antagonists.

Well, I might be remembering it wrong, but I think Faust confirmed that there will be an arcing antagonist in the second season. I don't think it's far off to think that they could do something with that magic, considering that. Plus, Rainbow Dash pulled off something people believed was a myth, twice, Applejack is probably one of the toughest earth ponies around, Pinkie Pie is borderline fearless, Fluttershy can communicate with animals...Rarity doesn't get any superpowers, I guess?

But, what I was getting at was each of the mane cast seems to have potential to do some epic questing. It's not unlikely that it'll come to that.
